10 Tips on Selling Final Expense Insurance

Here are 10 tips on selling final expense insurance:

  1. Get your life insurance license; we also recommend you get your health insurance license as well so you can sell Medicare supplement insurance to your clients.
  2. Join www.FinalExpense101.com for a step-by-step guide on how to sell final expense insurance.
  3. Get contracted with some final expense insurance companies. Also, decide if you want to be employed by final expense companies or if you want to be an independent final expense insurance agent.
  4. Order leads for final expense insurance. You can order leads from mail vendors, telemarketing centers, dialer providers, internet lead providers etc. You may also want to learn how to generate leads yourself via the internet, phones and door-to-door.
  5. Hire a final expense appointment setter or learn how to preset final expense appointments yourself. This can be the hardest part of the business. Some of our agents just go to the prospect’s door and either try to get in to make the sale or makes an appointment for a later time.
  6. Buy a GPS so you don’t have to worry about finding someone’s house. This is the best tool in the world. I never have to worry about getting lost or being late.
  7. Learn a final expense insurance sales script. Memorize this script word for word and don’t deviate. FE101 has an amazing script that has a high conversion rate for making sales.
  8. Have all your quoting software for final expense and any forms you need for the clients. I like to carry many applications for all my companies, a void check (or a company specific void check form), an insurance replacement form and any other forms the company will require. I also like to carry scratch paper, a lot of pens and a calculator. See our first training video for what we carry in our briefcase.
  9. A positive attitude. You make or break the sale and if you are not in a good mood or carry negative energy or low confidence, this will hurt your sales. You have to positive and happy and friendly and caring. If you are these things, the potential buyer will trust you and decide to buy from you instead of from someone else.
  10. Ask for referrals. Don’t leave the house unless you have at least two referrals. Even if it’s just the number for their kids. You can call them, let them know who you are and offer them insurance at some point down the line. Also, make sure you stay in contact with your clients past the sales date. This insures they stay with you, make their payments and buy any other insurance from you in the future (including their family and friends).

This is your checklist for your daily activity for selling final expense insurance. Be sure to join out site and feel free to join www.finalexpenseforums.com to ask any questions you might have.
