    lead sources

Hi I am an agent trying to find the best lead sources. I have contacted Hakim and have been told about their preset appointments. Has anyone used them?

I guess I should ask if preset appointments work.

I haven't heard good things about their preset appointment program. While we don't provide preset appointments, we do have some discounted direct mail and telemarketed final expense lead programs for contracted agents.

I've dealt with preset appointments in the past for DME sales. They sucked. Half the people you meet won't have a clue why you're there.

    JRIM,

Have you used Hakim's preset appointments? The reason I ask is because I haven't heard good things about preset appointments either but they really qualify the appointments. They have a series of health questions they run them through and actually tell them about what final expense is. If they qualify to that point they will verify they can afford $1 a day and then set the appointment. It just sounds too good to be true so I thought I'd see if anyone had any experience with them.

Good luck getting hold of Hakim when you need him. Nice guy, but he doesn't return phone calls and emails most of the time.

I need a good preset appointment lead source!!

    K everyone,

I am having a heck of a time finding preset appointments that are quality and with a company that delivers on what they promise. I just had a negative experience with Hakim Insuarance Marketing. I was promised one thing and it was not delivered upon. Soooo what is everyone's opinion on what an agent should do that needs to work into this part time with the hope of making this full time as the income grows and replaces my current employment. I was really excited about the preset appointment idea because I could walk and just close the sale and get a good amount done on a Saturday. Am I totally delirious that this can happen.

What is it about presets that you need them so badly? Are you that opposed to setting appointments yourself?

No I am not opposed to setting my own appointments but I am working full time and trying to transition back into the industry. Preset appointments let me utilize my time selling instead of setting the appointment. I am open to hearing your opinion however. What would you suggest? I just want to make sure my time is as effective possible so the transiton can happen quicker. How much time weekly do you spend setting appointments and how much time selling? When do you set appointments? I am interested in hearing your opinion!

I'm sorry Mike, but I don't know of any good pre-set leads available. I'm not saying that there aren't; I just have never run across any that are what you have to pay for.
The problem you usually run across is that the telemarketer is paid to set the appointment and get you in the door. They don't care how they have to do it. They will even set the appointments when the potential client has told them not to! I've seen it too many times.

I work with pre-set final expense appointments but I have hired my own employ to set them for me. This gives me a lot more control and less cost. It has worked out well for me.

I also have not heard of any company that has good preset final expense appointments. I tried one company myself about 2 years ago and I was not impressed at all. The customers had no idea why I was there and it made it very difficult to get the sale. My appointment setter makes it so when I show up, they know exactly why I am there and it generates a lot more sales for me.

What is the status of your Final Expense Sales? Anything new?
