Lincoln Heritage’s Funeral Advantage Plan

I get a lot emails about Lincoln Heritage and wanted to talk a little bit about what they offer.

Here is a synopsis of what they offer:

Lincoln Heritage has a Funeral Advantage plan that includes no physical exam, where the decision of approval is solely based on how they answer the health questions on the application (there is very limited underwriting beyond the application).  If they are able to say “NO” the all the questions of the final expense insurance application and don’t take any restricted medications, they can get immediate coverage from $2,000 – $20,000 tax free benefits. As with all real whole life insurance, the rates never increase and the policy value remains the same.

As an addition to their Funeral Advantage plan, they provide a rider for both Accident Plan and The Family Plan. The Accident Plan provides increased benefits for accidental death and increased benefits for car accidents. The Family Plan provides some coverage for all family members under the age of 18.

One of the main advantages of Lincoln Heritage’s final expense plan, is that they also offer the Funeral Consumer Guardian Society program. This program is great because they can save your client’s family up to %50 off the cost of funerals and burial. They know where to shop and how to cut cost, saving your client thousands of dollars. This is a great added bonus because even though Lincoln Heritage can cost more money per month compared to other insurance companies, with their connection to Funeral Consumer Guardian Society, you can justify smaller face amounts, bringing down the cost to an affordable monthly payment.

Lincoln Heritage recruits in every city and town across the USA. Depending upon the manager, they will allow you to add their product to your portfolio without being captive. However, some of the area managers require that you only sell their final expense. They do this because of their lead program. They don’t want you using their final expense leads to sell other companies products.

Personally, I found their insurance leads to be a little expensive and not worth the cost; however, many agents around the country would disagree with me. They are not a company you want to completely rule out. Just make sure you are prepared to make the best of the venture by knowing how to sell final expense the right way. Lincoln Heritage is NOT a company you can trust. 4 days before my first sold policy was to be debited for the first months premium, they terminated my one month old agent contract due to lack of production. The commission is now being paid to my manager. All because I did not want to buy their expensive leads. Stay away!

I wouldn’t say this classifies Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance as a bad company. It’s just the way it works when you partner with corporations. They don’t usually care too much about their agents or personnel. They only care about profits.

There are plenty more companies to work with. They all have their perks and negatives.

Lincoln Heritage is a good company for insurance and pretty good to sell. However, their policies are bit pricey, making them a harder to sell. I don’t blame you for not buying their expensive final expense leads as I found their final expense direct mail leads to be worthless. The TV leads, on the other hand, are actually pretty amazing and worth every penny.
